to the student website of the Society for a Science of Clinical
Psychology (SSCP)! SSCP is an organization that is devoted to the integration of science and practitioner in research, practice, and training. SSCP is committed to empirical research and the ideal that scientific principles should play a role in training, practice, and establishing public policy for health and mental health concerns.
We would like to tell you about the great benefits for student members of SSCP. The student listserv is the main link between students and most SSCP information, initiatives, and resources. If you would like to join the student listserv, please email the listserv manager, Evan Kleiman.
Graduate or undergraduate students with a keen interest in the practice and advancement of science in clinical psychology are invited to join SSCP as Student Members. Membership costs only $15 per year -- or as low as $10.00 per year if you apply as a group of at least 5 students and get your DCT to complete the group membership form. First-year students can also get a free membership!

We feel that this is an excellent time to join SSCP as a student, as we are actively working on making SSCP a greater resource and organization for students, and we very much welcome feedback, input, and involvement. Our goal is to continue to increase student activity and involvement.

- Opportunity to become more involved with SSCP in several student leadership roles: student representative to the board, listserv facilitator, website manager, campus representative
- Eligibility to apply for an SSCP Dissertation Grant Award, Student Poster Award at the annual APS convention, and our Outstanding Student Researcher, Clinician, and Teacher awards (over $2,500 in student awards are disbursed each year).
- Access to the SSCP Clinical Psychology Internship Directory, a guide to science-based training and clinical research experiences offered by internship programs that are not available from any other resource. The Directory allows students and faculty to obtain detailed information on training resources, opportunities to receive training in empirically supported treatments, and clinical research opportunities. Note that you must be a member to access the directory and will need a username and password to access the directory.
